You might have heard this piece of advice a million times but it always works. Writing down or knowing what you’ll be accomplishing for the day allows you to focus and prevents you from doing random things that consume your energy.
While it’s important to set goals, you must also accept the fact that sometimes, things won’t go as planned. You get stressed. Your kid gets sick. You forget to do an important chore at home. The last thing you should do is to judge yourself. Life will always be imperfect and that’s normal.
If you have toddlers or pre-schoolers, you’ll have a hard time focusing on business tasks. Here’s a useful trick: Give your child something that’ll keep his mind and hands busy. Let your child draw, paint, or watch a movie.
Admit it, cooking consumes a lot of time that can be spent on your solopreneur business. I’m not saying that you should stop cooking because home prepared meals are healthier. There are plenty of apps that allow you to work on your business from anywhere. So it doesn’t matter if you’re waiting in line at the supermarket or taking your kid to school. For example, Buffer lets you create and schedule social media posts using your phone. Trello is another useful app for managing your solopreneur projects.
