The word “planning” has been thrown around so much that it loses its value. If you feel like you’re always drifting from one task to another, and it feels like you’ve accomplished little, that’s because you don’t have a daily plan. Write out your plan before your day starts. Consider deadlines and long-term tasks. Most importantly, give yourself a realistic window of time.
You will know that it’s time to bring in a few extra sets of hands when you’re not getting enough sleep. Your engagement and sales are not improving too. If you’re not confident about being able to pay people long-term, don’t worry. You can hire a freelancer instead to get the job done when you only need it.
Check out websites like Upwork, Fiverr, and Designhill.
You may not realize it, but perhaps you’re unable to get things done because of your disorganized desk. Remember: Cleanliness = productivity. Get into the habit of cleaning your workstation at the start and end of the day. Designate a container for every tool you need. Got papers? Scan them and migrate those documents to the cloud.
Should all solopreneurs make time for fitness? If you’re looking to become more productive, focused, and able to make better decisions for your business, you need to exercise. Exerce plays a vital role in your performance. Make it non-negotiable for your success. There are plenty of ways to stay fit even with a busy schedule. Limit your TV time and use those minutes to walk outside or ride a bike. Turn family obligations into group activities.
Learning is a necessary part of a solopreneur’s life. It expands your horizons and allows you to come up with ideas that will take your business forward. First, identify a topic that you would want to learn more about. Search for books, videos, webinars, and podcasts on that topic. Even free resources provide a lot of value!

There are many things that are out of our control. When you are in the midst of an unfortunate situation, your greatest weapon is positive thinking. One way to think positively is to be grateful for what you have. It could be the technology you have to run your business. Or your coffee that helps you start your day and stay alert in the afternoon. Or the opportunity to work from home.
These are some of the habits that successful solopreneurs have in common. Remember to be intentional about how you spend your time. Choose the kind of thoughts that make you better. Follow a structure and stay organized. Last but not least… Take action!
